Genesis was founded in 2012 by Warren Wheat with the vision of becoming the premier landscape company in Phoenix. Starting with one truck, Genesis grew quickly by word of mouth and by hiring key team members who helped turn the company into what it is today. In 2022, Genesis partnered with a local investment firm in order to acquire a few other local businesses and bring them under the Genesis banner, which has greatly increased the resources and knowledge of the company while maintaining the small-company feel that Warren initially was known for, and continues to help maintain as Chief Operating Officer.
